Off to a great start as usual, it will be fun to see the rest for today as they come in. Some I looked at twice as they caught my eye are:
@Bill Boyd - nice landing shot, one can feel the action,
@ Jana Hughes - Great B & W and I love the old film look for the framing.
My entry today was from weekend before last in Steelville area of Missouri on the Merrimack River. I framed the shot with the overhead branch hoping for a nice view.
I used my Nikon D90, Sigma 24-70 @ 24mm, f14, 1/80, iso 400, tripod, aperture priority.

Good Morning Wednesday :)

My entry is from past weekend at Zoo. Southwick Zoo has a big cage full of Parakeet and you can use food stick to let them eat from it. My daughter enjoyed feeding Parakeet, but I forgot to change the lens in a tight spot.

Shot with Nikon D90 + 70-300mm VR @ f/8 1/160 ISO 400

I discovered last week a raccoon had a nest with 4 babies in a palm tree in front of the house I'm remolding. The mom wakes the kids up around noon every day. She has been teaching them how to climb around the thick palm branches that there nest is in. They are soo cute. I've tried every day to get a shot of all 5 of them together. They are constantly on the move and hard to capture. Nikon D3, Nikon 80-200 2.8, F/10, 1/125 sec, ISO 500

00Yot4-364665584.jpg.2c564a1ab16ac02d5899d8ca15410a50.jpg
