Fuji X100 filter adapter

<p> I have a new Fuji X100 and one of the downsides of the camera is the need for a seperate filter and lenshood adaptor because the lens has a male not a female filter thread. I understand the marketing ploy and have no problem with Fuji trying to enhance their profit that's another discussion,but somebody please tell me why one can't just put the filter on backwards and dispense with the expensive adapters and factory built extras. This is so obvious I am wondering if I missed something . Any input welcome ..</p>

<p>Won't work for a POL filter, otherwise no problem as long as they fit properly.</p>

<p>Thank you Bob that's what I thought, there's been so much discussion about these adapters I thought I'd missed something I'm now busy making a homemade lenshood.<br>

<p>How about making an adapter for yourself? Then again, it is an expensive camera for what it is and those who can afford it should be able to afford the accessories too.</p>

Imagine a beautiful woman that you love but has some strange quirks, overall the positives far outweigh the negatives I actually really like it no I love it . I made myself a lenshood and mounted a filter backwards and it all fits nicely in an old Konica case total cost for accessories $0.</p>
