www.wesleyalmond.com
Hello all,

I purchased a used Lumix lx3 camera.
It came without the software. Where can I download the camera driver for my PC and the file that will help lightroom recognize the raw files?

Im somewhat new to this digital workflow.

The panasonic website was confusing and offered no downloads from what I could see.

phule
If you want to use the Silypix software you'll likely have to contact Panasonic.

If you're looking for a free RAW developer that supports your camera, try http://www.rawtherapee.com/
leslie_cheung
Isn't there a free version of silkypix? Hey, Rob, are you making fun of "silypix" or is that just a typo? Imo, silkypix isn't worth the trouble...

www.wesleyalmond.com
Thanks but I'm trying to get Lightroom to recognize my raw files from the Lx3. Where is the proper file to download?
phule
[[Thanks but I'm trying to get Lightroom to recognize my raw files from the Lx3]]

Assuming you're using the latest version of Lightroom (3.3), there is nothing to update.
alan_olander1664878205
Which version of Lightroom are you using? THere is no driver to download for Lightroom if you're using a version of LR that supports your camera. You may have to upgrade.
www.wesleyalmond.com
Ohh I see, I will upgrade I am using the older 2x version.

also.. My PC does not recognize my camera via usb. where is the driver? I saw nothing on the company website.
Greg M
There are no "drivers" to upload. You do not get a "driver" with the camera that has to be loaded. Once you plug the camera in via the USB cord the computer, assuming your computer not 6-7 years old, should automatically go through the process and recognize the camera.

If you're trying to view RAW files, those have to be opened in a program that can view them, including the latest version of Lightroom.
ollirinne
You don't need Lightroom 3. There is support for Panasonic LX3 beginning from Lightroom version 2.2.
leslie_cheung
Yeah, I doubt you need the lastest LR, the LX3 is from '08.
