digitalandfilm
Ok.. ok..
Nice weather (no snow, storms, or hail) so I get out to shoot some TMax 400 and Arista 400 with my recently refurbished Minolta X700 and the 50mm 1.4 and 28mm 2.8, and I'm working on a sort of project of shooting "Kudzu" and the effects of the vine that "Ate the South" and it's presence in NY.
Go to the wooded area where Kudzu lives, and promptly get torn up by thorns.
Next stop- a pictorial of Fordham Road in the Bronx- part of my project of "NYC- One street at a time".
Take a shot of this guy with dreadlocks and hat and, upon hearing the somewhat loud shutter of the Minolta X700- starts screaming "NO..NO... NO!!!!" and stomps off up Fordham Road.
Get home and then discover I have THREE TICKS on my body- One on the head, one on the neck and one on the arm.
Of course this HAS TO BE the revenge of the Kudzu!
What is Kudzu?
See http://grandpacliff.com/InvSp/Kudzu.htm
Moral of the story? Blouse your pants and wear insect repellent when in the woods, and watch out if you shoot pictures of the Homeless in NYC.

Aoresteen
The real name for Kudzu is "wait-a-minute vine". Anyone who has been on a patrol at Ft Benning knows what I am talking about.
