javier, i like your first photo. i like the way his mouth is tightly shut and his chest pockets wide open like he is talking to you.
justin, i feel for you. i lost all my cats and dogs. somehow, throwing dead fish in the toilet does not bother me. so i keep my aquarium.
i went to west texas and took some desert shots.

Javier, I strongly suggest you take up martial arts or get a pair of really fast running shoes. Those folks look like they are ready to do some re-adjustment to your nose.

And by the way, love those shots. You're getting really good at that street thing!

Sorry about your little pal, Justin.

Nice work folks!

Yvon, I'm on my way to your house for supper tonight...get the frying pan out!

Javier, excellent work, I can't believe it but your street work keeps getting better!

Yvon, the first ice skiing shot is amazing. The curve of the kite, echoed in the clouds... I hope your situation resolved happily.

Anirban, the framing of your shot adds to the interest, as does the coloring.

For me I visited Carlsbad California, and was blown away by all the flowers in bloom. Through the long winter here I had almost forgotten....

@Michael. I am glad to bring laughter into your home. :) I was ROFL when I saw them when I got home myself...

@Justin, I shot those and a few more in the span of an hour or so. It was one of those days when nothing was going my way. Still the worst day shooting is better than anything else I could have been doing :)

@Bob, Thank you. I would hope to be improving, but believe me, there are more dry days than I care to remember. :0

@Steve. It indeed was one of those days. :) By the way, she called the cops on me...I just kept shooting...

@Anirban, Thank you very much and I must say, you have an amazing collection on flickr.

@Denise, Thank you and true street is indeed true emotion...Glad to see you posting again.

@Howard, thank you and I love your analyses...Here is a gal getting ready to throw a punch...click it to see a larger version

@Osamu, Thank you kindly. I really like that one also. :)

@Scott, Thank you so much..Lets see, Karate or run. I vote run :)

@Nick, Thank you so very much...

@Haig, thank you and I keep telling ya, we need to get together and see what kind of trouble we can get into. :)

By the way, I have started to use flickr and am posting current picks in there if anyone is interested...What is interesting to me is that I have pictures in there from about 7-8 cams, maybe more (most are pentax) and at the end of the day, all the pics look the same to me and they all pretty much do the same thing...go figure... http://www.flickr.com/photos/jgredline/

Javier, Thank you for your comment. I actually used the Pentax 10-17mm, set at 13mm for that shot. You have come a long way with your street photography. I've been watching you from the beginning. You have guts, as I would be to timid to get in someone's space. The results are great and candid. I like it.

Javier, I was just looking at your Flickr gallery and saw the photo below. I don't know if you ever posted it in the POW, maybe I missed that week, but I think this is one of your best pictures if not the best. This could be an award winning photo. Enter it in contests. It has what judges like.

00YLt0-337935584.jpg.ba766e502c9c8876267020eebdc80b58.jpg

Beautiful work this week! I had a busy week and a case of shingles so I didn't shoot much. But now I'm off work for a week so I hope I can get some good stuff and rest this week!

Some highlights:
Javier - loved the grumpy street shots. What was the police interaction like? Did they even show up? And did you get punched after that later one?
Yvon - I also love the kite skier. It really pops! We have a big lake here and I've thought about trying to find a kite to try on it but I'm not sure if I need another gear intensive sport in my life.
PJ - I like the light house.
