rj russell
I have seen several recomendations for the Dell UltraSharp U2410 $699 Canadian but am considering the UltraSharp U2311H $339.
Both Ultrasharp I.P.S. patricklavoie
i cant say as i never seen with my own eye a U2311H...

but there's no such thing as a *calibration software* only. You need a calibration device (probably what you mean). The 2 best that i know of .. because i tried them all (seriously) are those 2;

spider 3 pro or elite (can sometime cause strange thing under vista / windows 7)

and my prefer one is a eye1 display2.

howard_m
my hunch is that there is more to the difference between the units than 1" ;)
szrimaging
Ryan, where do you live? When I just looked at Dell's site, the 23" was $279. Not a bad price.
patricklavoie
same thing.. but i prefer to buy the one brand by xrite. Why? just because ; )
rmyers
I think the 24" is wide gamut and the 23" is not.
bgelfand
Hi Ryan,

Here is a little "light reading" for you:

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews.htm

Just scroll down until you find the monitor you you are interested in.

chas_frady
Yeah, U2311h is an 8bit normal gamut monitor. The U2410 is a wide gamut display and has a 12bit internal LUT. The catch is, the U2410 cannot be internally hardware calibrated .
