knut_sverre_horn
Honestly, I didn't think it was possible until last Thursday, when I gave it a try with my Nikon D3s. 28 mm at f/2 and 1/15 second - check it out:
http://knutsverrehorn.blogspot.com/2011/02/maneskinn-og-bilder-pa-frihand.html

lornesunley
Obviously this is THE camera to use when going out to take pictures of were-wolves :-)
joseph_wisniewski
Lorne, seriously...

Everyone knows you need to use a film camera for werewolves. You have to shoot silver at them.
rodeo_joe1
The full-moon on snow actually gives quite a lot of light. I just looked out some full-moon shots I took in my back-garden in the snow a few weeks ago with my D700. Exif data says 10 secs @ f/8 with the ISO set at 1600. I used a tripod then, but handheld would have been easily do-able @ f/2 if I'd wound the ISO up to its 25,600 max. In fact I calculate that the shutter speed needed would have been about 1/25th second.

BTW, one of the pictures I took was among the Nikon Wednesday pix about 6 or 7 weeks ago.
lornesunley
@Joseph - so the phasing out of film cameras is actually a vast conspiracy backed by the were-wolf crime families - aha! :-) On a more serious note, that is one impressive sensor in that camera.
