matthew_rusbarsky
I've been braving the cold with my Graflex 22 model 200. The last of my Plus-X in Rodinal 1:50. From here on on Ilford will be getting what little I have to spend on film.
Baltimore light rail heading over the mud flats of the Middle Branch:

the Jones Falls in winter:

Alianthus altissima (aka:the ghetto palm) vs. the warehouse:

In the above photo there is a tiny piece of trash at the point where the roots penetrate the brickwork. Here's a tight crop. Not bad for a triplet:

Thanks for looking!
Regards,
Matthew

tomscott
I'm sorry but, what is too bad about Plus X? Are there more rumors about it being discontinued? http://www.photo.net/film-and-processing-forum/00WEsn This is the last thing I heard about it.
rick_drawbridge
A worthy salute to a fine film. The "Jones Falls" image is great, brimming with winter mood. Thanks for sharing, Matthew.

matthew_rusbarsky
Thanks everyone. Tom, I'm pretty sure that it's official that PlusX has been discontinued in long roll and 120, 35 is still hanging on.
chuck_foreman1
Very nice images and I too am surprised to hear about Plus-X. The Jones Falls is very tone rich and an excellent study. Very impressed with the trash piece and the resolution of that triplet too. Seeing the Middle Branch train made me think of some of Bodines work? You know who I mean right? matthew_rusbarsky
Either Bodine was the Ansel Adams of the Chesapeake, or Adams was the Aubrey Bodine of the American West. I'm in the latter camp.
chuck_foreman1
Well put Matt. This analogy should find a wider audience. I fear Bodine is lost to the masses!
