michellemandat
I must take pictures (slides 100 ISO) for a friend of little metal statues (4 or 5 inches high). My equipment: Nikon F4 plus 28/105 AFD plus SB25 and SC 17 cord. I plan to put the flash on a tripod sideways at the recommanded minimun distance. Is't a good way? Thanks for your advices. ellis_vener_photography
pretty much but i would make a small (20" x 20" or 60cm x 60cm ) diffusion screen out of tracing paper or someother translucent material and set it rlatively close to the sculptures you'll be photographing -- if they are less than 60cm tall. but your flash at a some distance away fromthe screen so the flash lights up the screen pretty evenly witthout spilling over the edges. <P>This will greatly improve the quality of light on the subject.. Do not choose to heavy ofdiffusion material-- like a cotton sheet for example.
