gus_hagberg
Hi,
I'm wondering what I will need to develop C6 (color slides) at home. Or, can someone guide me to a good book that a non-professional can easily understand?
I used to do this way back in the '70s but I can't for the life of me remember the whole process. I've been bitten by the film bug the last 3 years or so but I really don't want to pay for the Professional Labs to do what I can do at home. It's the main reason I went Digital in the first place.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Gus
bob_sunley
Maybe you mean E6. You will need a tank and a chemical kit. Browse freestylephoto.biz , I think the sell the chemicals.
JDMvW
Look on line for development kits which, if they're still available, have all the chemicals you need for a certain sized batch.
What makes color developing (E6 or C41) harder than B&W developing is the need for very precise temperature control in most processes.

My Tri-X routine, for example, is something like 7-8 minutes in D-76 at whatever temperature it's at. Rinse, fix and serve. Without a real dark room, I haven't done color in years. ;)
