peter k
For a previous post Mr. Andrew Rodney had included a Color checker JPEG with his reply. I downloaded the JPEG and opened it in my windows photo viewer. The Picture was very excellent and the colors were great.
Then I opened it in CS4 and the colors were muted and washed out especially the reds. Changing the color space from sRGB to Adobe RGB 1998 and Pro photo RGB did not result in the photo showing its original brilliance. Tweaking the red channel and small saturation adjustments were required to get it to be closer to the original.
Would anyone know why this is so? Even changing the color space to color match RGB ( the posted picture states that ) did not help. My Monitor is calibrate using Spyder 3 Pro. My prints, usually, print very close to the Monitor colors. Any ideas? Regards Peter

digitaldog
The document is in ColorMatch RGB. Windows Photo Viewer is not ICC aware. You can’t trust the colors (even if you like them).
Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
