SCL Posted August 5, 2010 Share Posted August 5, 2010 <p>Easiest way mathematically is to know the sensor dimensions and object dimensions and determine how much of the sensor is covered by the object. If you are only interested in final results, you divide the final picture of the object (at whatever size you are viewing it) by the original object dimensions.</p> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
leicaglow Posted August 5, 2010 Share Posted August 5, 2010 <p>If the lens is 1:1, your mag would be 1x. With a 1.4TC, it would be 1x * 1.4 = 1.4 mag. I don't believe the focal length would come into play in this scenario, so long as whatever lens you are using is at 1:1. savagesax Posted August 19, 2010 Share Posted August 19, 2010 You can also use those Kenko extension tube DG set of rings. They come in a set of 3. You can combine all 3 together or simply use 1.
