aaron bonnici
Hi,

I use a laptop to edit my photos with Lightroom 3 and CS4.
For storage I have got a 1TB Hard Drive which I lug around with another 1TB External Hard Drive at home that I use as a backup. The two Hard Drives are a mirror image of each other.
My question is, is there a sort of program that once I get home, I connect the two Hard Drives with the laptop and the changes I made on one hard drive is automatically done to the other hard drive?
I know that the ideal setup would be a RAID system but I havent got one.
Thanks
Matt Laur
It will help if you mention what sort of computer system you're using. Windows? Mac? Which operating system version?

frank_skomial
Possibly you need to look into backup software that allows backup into 2 discs, and possibly resynchronizes them.

USB 2.0 external drives are slow for multi mega bytes folders. For new drives solution I would consider latest external USB 3.0 discs, or external eSata solutions. In both cases you would need proper interface in your computer.
don_cooper
Second Copy would do what you need quite nicely. There is a free trial download at - http://www.secondcopy.com/
William Kahn
ViceVersa PRO (www.tgrmn.com). You can set up profiles to back up several file folders to multiple hard drives.
