How much to charge for shooting gallery paintings

<p>I am a freelance photographer working in Orange County. I recently acquired a job to shoot some painting for a local artist. It is inside a restaurant in a small banquet room and I would be setting up lighting. This is not typically what I shoot so I'm not quite sure what to charge.</p>

<p>Charge by the hour or by the day. You should be able to come up with a reasonable time estimate.</p>

<p>Thanks for this project I think I need to charge per piece. I'm just setting up and taking a few shots of each painting. I charge per hour or job usually but they are bigger than this. </p>

<p>I do a lot of this kind of work, and I always charge by the hour. If you don't normally photograph artwork, it may take a while to get the lighting even, especially in a potentially cramped location.</p>
