Lieca S2 versus Phase One

<p>Which of the above cameras would you chose for travel photography? Medium format is what I am looking for. Absolutely new to medium format photography.</p>

<p>Either are great. but I'd tend to go with that PhaseOne P45+ based system. No question though that Leica is likely to have better quality lenses. </p>

<p>Have you considered a Pentax 645D?</p>

<p>It's got the same Kodak sensor technology as a Leica or P1, but the camera is much more like a modern DSLR than the others, the lens selection is excellent, and the user interface (control layout and menu system), auto focus system, and metering are all a good decade or two ahead of anything from P1, Leica, or Blad, and the cost is the best in the whole MF industry.</p>

<p>Thank you all for your advice. Is there a sensor size which would be considered ideal for travel photography. I see there are at least three different sizes. How important is the square format? Is there a reason why nobody mentioned Hasselblad as his choice?</p>
