Which equipment did John Loengard use?

<p>I recently got hold of a copy of a wonderful book that combined some paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe with the photo documentation John Loengard did about her in the 1960ies. Does anyone know which 35mm camera Loengard did use, especially the lenses?</p>

<p>Loengard appeared in some Nikon ads at one time. It's safe to say he used the appropriate professional cameras available at the time, which would have been Nikon F's, Leica rangefinders, and Hasselblad or Rollei medium format.</p>

<p>That's what I'd have guessed. Was just curious if it was a Leica or a Nikon F.</p>

<p>Back in the '60s, it was common for photographers to carry both types, or at least to have both available depending on the work at hand. A fair amount of press work was still being done on rollfilm, though that changed rapidly as the '60s heated upand motor drives became reliable.<br>

The O'Keeffe book is excellent. Look also for "Pictures Under Discussion" and "As I See It."</p>
