Image Categories?

<p>What's the point of listing all the categories of images (people, landscape, etc) in the search feature if there is no way for a person to assign their gallery images to any particular category?</p>

<p>Hi, Jeffrey. The point is that people can search by category for individual photos, but if you want to group all your own photos according to category, you have to put them in folders named for the category within your portfolio, instead of just adding single photos into the mix. Look under options on your portfolio page.<br>

<p>Photos that appear under the "Gallery" tab are connected to the numerical ratings system, a sort of popularity gauge. If you don't submit your photos for numerical ratings they won't appear under any of the Gallery options.</p>

<p>Even if you choose not to submit your photos for ratings you can still enhance the visibility of your portfolio by using the tagging option. Tags help viewers find particular types of photos more easily, and make those photos more visible in Google searches as well.</p>
