paul_wheatland
Back in the 1970's Canon offered an adapter to use Nikon lenses with the Canon FD line. It was not offered for long. The idea was to get Nikon users with a stable of Nikkors to switch. This marketing ploy may have backfired. The adapter came in two versions, they are now rare and expensive. Mine is marked Bell and Howell, the Canon distributor in the early seventies and I use it with Canon F-1n professional SLR.
kfrog
I saw that ad a while back. I think it was one of those scrolling ads that changes every few seconds. Canon sponsored the ad with different products scrolling through, mostly Canon stuff but obviously a few others too!
flatulent1
I thought it was priceless when I saw Canon ads in the Nikon forum. There must have been some teeth-grinding over that one!
