Canon 5D Mark II used for driving - awesome... I think.

<p>I love car video games. Only reason I bought the original xbox was for Forza. Now I play Colin McRae rally on it. Those are the only 2 games I play. Anyways I usually drive in this viewing position, but in real life it's another story I guess!<br>

<p>At 1:18, is that an EF-S lens? It has a silver ring on it — I thought EF lenses have gold rings.</p>

<p>@Hugo, if you view the video at 720p, you can read the markings on the lens. It appears to be a Tamron, and the zoom markings end at 35, so you can assume that it's a 17-35mm lens.</p>

<p>About the rings, I have 2 EF-S lenses with gold rings, the 17-85 and the 10-22. On my lenses they appear to signify USM motors. However, the new EF-S 15-85 has a USM motor, but no gold ring. Red rings are L for sure, green rings mean DO lenses, silver and gold are less clear.</p>

<p>That's pretty cool. I've always hated playing driving games that you couldn't switch to a dash cam or front end view. I'd love to try it - look easy to me - you just have to pretend you're sitting on your couch.</p>
