Recommended Posts

Say I have 2 pictures of an object and background
1. The object is in focus but the background is not.
2.The background is in focus but the subject not.
Is there a way that i can put those pictures together in photoshop (cs2) ?
What is that process called?
Can show me a video or tell me how to do it ?

The technique you're reffering to is "focus stacking," but it usually takes a lot more than two exposures to make a visually satisfying job of it. You can do it manually, using layers and masks, but it can end up looking clumsy, especially with only a few (or two) layers. There are third-party tools that do this for you, and if you search these forums using that phrase (focus stacking) you'll see lots of discussion on the subject.
