EOS 3 Normal Grip

I recently acquired a Canon EOS 3 body which came with a Power Boost grip - the kind that takes 8 AA batteries. While the grip is nice, I really need the standard grip that comes with the camera, the one that takes a single battery.
What I need to know is - where can I buy/obtain one of these standard camera body grip/battery holder items?
Thanks in advance for your help,
I don't understand how that would work. The GR-E1 or GR-E2 is the holder for the 2CR5 battery. The GR type grip covers the front part of the camera. The camera I have does not have that front cover that normally comes with the camera. The person I got the camera from said they bought the camera used and it came with just the booster attachment. I need the standard part that normally comes with the camera. So far, I have not been able to find a store that sells just that part.

For a $100 what do you expect for buying used, as they would say. I'm sad to say it looks like your in a bit of a pickle. A nice camera buy the way, couple of suggestions, use lithium batteries they will last longer or buy a good set of rechargeable batteries or hunt down a PB-E2 on the web. Really don't worry about the cost, the results your going to get will well justify the cost of a new/used grip. After all it only was a $100 for the body and grip.

Jerry, just detach the grip from the body. The camera works fine with just a 2CR5 battery.

Without the GR-1, you'd have a big hole (no grip surface!) and the battery won't work. Of course the EOS 1, 1N, 1V & 3 series are discontinued, so you'd have to find a GR-1 used or as old stock. To put the prices in perspective, the PB-E2 was $400-450 when new, BP-E1 was $125 and the GR-1 was $75 (really high considering it was only plastic with rubber covering).

I just sold my EOS 3, GR-1, BP-E1 and PB-E2 last month. I thought I'd have a hard time selling them but they went fast and for a decent price. Oddly there was surprising demand for a mint EOS 3 and accessories.

Here's my old EOS 3 with GR-1 installed. Without the GR-1 the entire textured grip area on the left would be a hole.

My Lucky Day!. A fellow forum reader has offered a used GR-E1 to me for a very reasonable price. Thanks to all who contributed responses. Next time I'll be more careful with my on-line purchases. The camera works fine and is exactly what I was looking for. With the GR-E1, it will be perfect.

Hi fellow members,
Reviving this old thread back as I am now in the same situation as Jerry was. Gotta EOS 3 with PB-E2. In need of a GR-E1 as a lighter travel option. Hoping that some one here might have an idle one sitting with them that they wouldn't mind parting with too much. (although the eos3 I got is in near mint condition... still think Jerry got the better deal for his!)

Thx much
