Emi K35

Recommended Posts

I am wondering if anyone has had any experiences with this camera, or had seen any information as this camera's performance? I inherited this from my grandad, and I had it fixed up. Apparently it had a spoilt film advance and the focusing was a little loose.
Its the Emi K35, and I cannot really find much info about this model. I only know that it was made in Japan, around the 1950s. Here are some pictures of the camera.

I really don't know anything from personal experience; but, for what it's worth (since no one seems to be rushing in here), McKoewn's 1997-1998 says:

Emi K 35 - c 1956. Scale-focus 35mm camera with bright frame finder. Front window and top housing look large enough to house a rangefinder, but there is none.
Eminent Color f2.8/50mm in B, 25-300 shutter. $50-75

It's from Oshiro Optical Works of Japan. Its only listed stable mate was an Emi 35A, also of ca. 1956. Except for the date, McKoewn often doesn't tell you much you didn't have off the camera itself.

Whatever, it looks like a "cutie." If it works, show us some pictures from it. :)
