patrick_f Posted February 18, 2010 Share Posted February 18, 2010
Hello,
Stupid question, but I am not the most tech savvy person out there! Anyway, here goes...I processed a HUGE job in Lightroom 1 the other day, and in the sake of getting the RAW files off my computer backed them up in 2 Externals + DVD. In the process of deleting them off my Imac, I accidently deleted the folder of the top pics which had individually been color balanced, etc. They still show in the lightroom catalog but it tells me that they are "offline or missing" I found these files (RAW) on my external and attempted to bring them back to there original location, in folders named the same thing. Lightroom will not recognize these folders. Basically, I want to reimport the folders and apply the settings I had adjusted without having to go back and re-do all that work! Is it possible, and if so, how?
Thank you in advance!
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
py-photography Posted February 18, 2010 Share Posted February 18, 2010
You should be able to mount your external drive and tell LR to look at the new location and everything shoudl be back for you.
I have numerous files on my external drive and load it as needed. I can still see the preview and keywords etc..
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Charles_Webster Posted February 18, 2010 Share Posted February 18, 2010
Just click on the X on the picture, select Locate file, and browse to it's new location.

Then upgrade to the current version of LR, it is much, much faster, better, and easier to use.

If you upgrade now, you might get the coming upgrade to 3.0 free.

<Chas>

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
