Trouble with Pixco Minolta MC/MD Adapter to Micro 4/3 G1

<p>Recently I bought a Pixco brand adapter in an attempt to use some of my old Minolta lenses on my Panasonic G1. I tried to use it today for the first time and it does not work. All the fittings seem good: the lens to adapter and adapter to camera. But when I turned the camera on the LCD showed the message "Please check that the lens is attached correctly". I've been taking pictures with SLR cameras for almost 40 years and I know how the lens mounts work. And, as I said, everything seemed to click into place properly. Does anyone have an suggestions or insight into this? Or good or bad experiences with Pixco adapters? Thanks.</p>

<p>I believe you will have to change a setting in the menu that will allow the camera to function without a lens attached. (Does the adpater have any electronics? If not, the camera doesn't "know" there's a lens.)</p>

<p>You're right. I should have thought of that. No electronics in the old Minolta lens nor the adapter. Haven't tried it yet, but I know there is a function you may select to shoot without lens. I believe that will work. I'll come back to this thread if it doesn't work. Thank you.</p>

<p>Maybe to avoid the unintentional actuation of the shutter during the sensor cleaning.</p>
