beginner need help-multi format plastic reel

<p>Hello,<br>

I am just starting to process my own films and bought equipment recently.<br>

My question might seems useless, but I have a plastic multi-format reel, and can't find out how to change the format or to open it...<br>

I have simply tried to pull of a bunch of different time but I am afraid to break it..Is there a simple way to do it, or might it be from the bad quality of my reel?<br>

<p>Twist the top reel to the right and the bottom to the left. If that does not work try it the other direction.</p>

Don't go "Yeaaah!" so quickly. You haven't actually tried to load that 120 film onto that reel yet have you? If this is a Paterson reel, cut a piece of cardboard from the film box and place it across the reels in front of the loading ears. That will keep the film from curling in and off the reel slots making it a lot easier to load..

<p>Oh yes, I have tried...and as you might expect it, it was terrible! I appreciate your tip with the cardboard. I have an Omega reel, I guess it will work as well</p>
