<p>The 503 CW will take the Winder CW. Otherwise they are about the same.</p>

<p>The 503 CW also has a larger, non-vignetting mirror.</p>

<p>The 503 CXi (note the "i"!) will also take the Winder CW. Still has the same smaller mirror as the 503 CX. </p>

<p>The CW has the gliding mirror technology, and the ability to use a special winder with remote release. Those are the only two difference I recall. You can use that newer winder on the CX too.</p>

<p>You can only use the Winder on a CW or CXi. Not on a CX.</p>

<p>The cable release will not fit while the winder is attached, no.<br>

But you can use the IR remote or an electric cable release instead.</p>

<p>Whether you will like holding the camera with 90 degree prism plus winder attached is very much a personal thing. You must try it yourself.<br>

With both these things, the camera gains quite a bit in bulk. But i do not find it a problem.<br>

I don't like the hand strap though.</p>
