tony_gunson
My Sony GVD300 Mini DV player has problems ie: pixelisation noise - drop out when playing back tapes from my Sony trv900 DV camcorder - there were no problems when I first bought them does anyone know if there is some kind of SYNCRONISATION settings perhaps similar to the tracking on older VCRs that may solve this problem - appreciate any ideas. matt_marshall
How long have you been using the tapes? It sounds to me like the tapes are getting old.Unfortunately with the MiniDV media, the tapes are extremely susceptible to the slightest flaw resulting in a loss of data. The pixelisation problem you are experiencing is caused by missing data, which is forcing the player to compensate by using pixels from the last valid frame on the tape until it can read the tape properly again. Unfortunately there is no solution for the tapes, back-up what's left of what you have onto fresh tapes and dispose of the old ones.
