90% failure rate of light meter is the underside of the battery compartment. Topcon used a very conductive metal for the rivet; but, it corrode,s badly from mercury batteries. It's a easy enough fix. Remove baseplate. Carefully remove on-off switch with two tiny brads and a plier. Note position of door latch under press switch of door. Remove 3 battery compartment screws. Flip over gently and observe the rivet. Greenish is bad! Drexel clean, may need to resolder a new wire section. Re- assemble.
Hiya. Might you still have the dichroic condenser head? And if so and it works what would you let it go for? Thanks! I have an old Beseler MCRX and need a diffuser head for it.
Thanks!
