<p>These are scammers. I just ordered a 5D II from Adorama. They have refurbished for $2399 with store warranty. I got the new USA model. The cheapest I saw them from what I consider a legitimate source was from Cameta. I wanted to be able to return the camera if it wasn't perfect so I went with Adorama. I believe you are okay with any of the top tier discounters; Adorama, Bhphotovideo, or Amazon. I'm sure there are more good places to buy but if it sounds too good to be true check it out on resellerratings dot com. There are sellers like Photoloon that sell what appears to be gray market for less but I'm not willing to take that chance. The Canon refurbs are probably the best legitimate deal around. <p>It is easy to check from UK Ordnance Survey 1:50000 mapping that Hendal Farm (spelt thus) is a genuine location near the village of Groombridge, which is in East Sussex just across the Kent county boundary from Royal Tunbridge Wells. The postcode is correct but would always be written as TN3 9NU, not Tn39nu. A company called Blue Abbey appears to have been trading there for some years, although its company history does not appear to have been plain sailing, and in the early 2000s the activity of the company was listed as industrial cleaning. Their website (or what purports to be their website - who knows?) now appears to consist mainly of offers priced in USD of mobile phones and laptops (fresh out of Eiffel Towers or Brooklyn Bridges this week). The phone and fax numbers that they give are mobile numbers not landlines. I suppose it would be possible for some enterprising UK resident to show up there with $1500 in his hot sticky little hand and offer to exchange that sum for a 5DII body, but I suspect that the outcome might not be the one hoped for, since the one payment method they don't seem to offer is cash on collection!</p>

<p>If it were not for the fact that manuj makhija has been around this site for a while, I'd suspect that the posting of the entire "offer" was itself a scam on the lines of "what do you think about this?" excuse for putting this dead raccoon on the site.</p>

<p>About the only way it could be "straight" is if it were "crooked". That is, to sell it at this price, it would likely have been stolen somewhere. Or maybe it just dropped off the back of a truck in Tunbridge Wells, or perhaps Seoul.</p>
