golden
probably my favorite place to shoot, the ocoee river gorge had a rockslide the other day, first it was just a few big rocks and the news crew from chattanooga was there, the road crew were trying to bust the big rocks off and clear the road, luckily a geologist came and told them to move everything and get out of the way that another slide was going to happen and boy did it, watch this video... kind of sad, no one can get down there for at least a month, thank goodness though no one was hurt. <a href="
tomscott
I saw this on the news and I was amazed, probably been up and down that stretch of road half a dozen times at least.
golden
I just couldnt believe it when i saw it, I had a portrait session set up yesturday down at the white water center and we couldnt get down there, they had the road blocked about 2 miles before you get to the slide, where the slide happend was right where the commercial rafting companies put there rafts in. thank God it wasnt summer time, so many people travel that road in the summer.

William Kahn
With all the rainfall we've had this year in east Tennessee (almost 12 inches above normal for the year), it's not surprising that we're getting rockslides. What's surprising is that there have been only two so far. Wait for it...
