victor_ng2
I guess because it's quite new on the market. It'll go down eventually. However, if you need it now, you can buy it at $238 on amazon.com. It may not be the best price but amazon.com is a safe place to buy. Hope this helps.
billy_decola
I wouldn't get one of the 3rd party knock-offs though. My buddy got one and had some issues. I agree - Amazon is a good place buy but you have to make sure you check the seller's feedback.
larry_durbin3
I bought a Zeikos off of the Amazon website with two aftermarket batteries. I used my 5D Mark II extensively at Yellowstone with absolutely flawless operation. I would recommend that battery grip and the batteries. Total cost about $100.00
PuppyDigs
The 20D/40D/50D grip is plastic while the 5DII grip is magnesium.
Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter

toniolombardi
I got a battery grip for the 5d mk II made by phottix for about half the price (or less) from ebay. It works like a charm with no flaws whatsoever....
