dugger
Hey everyone. Using dust removal on my 20D always physically "shook" the camera with "start up action" checked. That is not the case with my K7. Does anyone know if this is correct with the K7 or is it not working correctly?

Thanks in advance for your help.
jgredline
Doug, I noticed the same thing. It is normal. I wish the K20D was like the K-7. I have mine set up to do the earthquake drill on start up. :)
trevor_newman1
Doug,
From what i have read this is because the K7's dust reduction system vibrates the low pass filter on the front of the sensor to eliminate dust which creates an imperceptible vibration that can only be heard on close close inspection. This is in contrast to the K20d which actually shakes the entire sensor assembly to remove dust, giving the camera quite a jolt in your hand!

kfrog
I change out lenses quite a bit so I have my K10D set to shake at start up. I'm so used to it now, just the normal turn it on shake the crap out, then start taking pictures.
