erik_christensen3
I took some photos of a sea eagle in a zoo and a few of them
have an overposured strip across/top to bottom, which I cannot
see the reason(s) for. They are all taken within 5 minutes and only
some of them has the strip.
Camera: D300
Lens: 70-200mm f/2.8 at 70mm
F/8 - 1/125" - ISO 200 - WB auto
Somebody who can explain this to me?

johnw63
Could it be you were shooting through a fence of some sort ? That looks as much like really out of focus fence to me.

erik_christensen3
Yes, but the wires were not horizontal/vertical they were more like a diamond, and further more imho the feets should not as 'sharp' as they are. However, I may be mistaken, so if you are right John, then I am happy that it is only my lack of skills and not the camera/lens.
bobcossar
Looks like OOF wire fence to me too, similar to what you can see on the roof part, over the birds head....regards, Bob
erik_christensen3
Thanks for your comments - yes I think I have it now.
Taking with 4 fps and when I go back to the serie, then the first 3 are ok exposure-wise, but this I liked the position of the eagle better.
Thanks to both of you
