This is my boy Tyrus. He just turned 10 this week. He is an awesome pal and is great with my kids who are 9, 8 and 8. Yes they all came home to the face of a golden.
Tyrus had surgery when he was 8 months old as he had Osteocondrosis Desacense (sp?). Basically he had the cartilege removed from his elbows as it was tearing away. Removing it surgically allowed it to grow back intact. He's doing quite well although shows signs of stiffness when overworked.
We love him

Our 12 1/2-year-old Shih-tzu, Buddy, loves to chase things in our house -- usually soft toys or a hot pink rubber ball. When I ask him if he wants to play, he'll often come running into the kitchen and do a leap right where the linoleum meets the carpet of our family room. I was able to get this shot one evening. It's not perfect, but it has drawn consistent response from friends and family members who've seen it.

I've had animals as friends all my life, horses, llamas, donkeys, sheep, cats, parrots, rodents and a pig once, but the best of all, and constantly, dogs. They are a constant source of joy and amazement to me. It really does not matter what kind they are, if they love you and you love them, that is enough. I'm currently limited to three dogs.

This is the one and only Suzi, a mutt, long time companion and number one dog I guess.

00Uiiv-179613884.jpg.daa776b782cb46d432d92115bbb40505.jpg

And then there is Dot. Now 14 and 14 at the time of this photo, a 5 time Grand Champion Pit Bull Terrier that took a best of show and a best of breed over the number 1 pit bull in the world at a show at the age of 9.

She is now deaf, stiff and has no teeth, and I afford her the comfort that she deserves in her last days.

00Uij7-179615584.jpg.eb701f334fb64bcc7b23b5f1aee0494c.jpg

Sammy is my mother's darling. Sammy is keen on eating ROHLIK (a small baguette). I buy a few every morning when I visit my mother , Sammy waits ouside the small bakery, then she will get 1 and she carries it quickly home (some 200 m) . and then , at home, she eats it in a frenzy that lasts 1 second. She is very funny when she likes to bark and cannot because her mouth is full.

00Uiu9-179691584.jpg.b7e165b13f52320e481e148d81778d63.jpg

Jordie was such a loving and even an adoring cat. Jordie was the only cat I have ever had that really loved me. She was so devoted to me and would follow me around like a three year old toddler, up and down the hall, back and forth until she finally would get tired and give up. She would sit by the kitchen door and wait for me to come home from work at night. Every night she would come sit in my lap while we watched t.v. She would let me hold her on her back like a baby and would just purr and purr. When we would go to bed, she would sit on top of me like a billy goat. She would actually “log roll” on me when I turned over just as long as she could stay laying on me! Jordie always went camping with us in our motor home. She has been gone since 8/9/09 from renal failure and we miss her terribly. We Love You Jordie!
