walter_strong2
I'm interested in getting a graduated ND filter. What I'd like is one that slides up and down in a holder so I can adjust the amount of filtration up or down. Does anybody know if the Cokin pro ND filter allows for enough up and down movement to make this feasible.
marbing
Of the graduated grey filters that Cokin produces only the X-Pro size is ND. The 'A' and 'P' sizes are not ND .
ellis_vener_photography
In the 100mm width (the Cokin pro line is actually 125mm wide) the Lee & Hitech ND filters are better, and are plenty long.
Lee just announced on August 30 that they are introducing their filters in sizes to fitthe Cokin P holder.
See Leefiltersusa.com announcement . curt wiler
You need to give us more information - the length you need depends on the size of the front element of the lens. I got along quite well with Cokin-P size filters (Singh-Ray is best because it is more neutral, and slightly longer) until I standardized on 77-mm lenses. Then I needed to step up to Lee in order to get enough movement to place the dividing line where I wanted it.
