<p>Once again, the just-discontinued model has become the greatest competitor of the current model, fully in keeping with Leica tradition...and the virtues of the old model are now suddenly sharply focussed by the new model...and all the vices are now suddenly realised to be "trade-off's"...</p>

<p>Whether the need to sharpen or not is quite subjective, I'm shocked that people have never needed or wanted to sharpen a raw file. All raw files suffer from softness due to the digital medium, the lack of any sharpening has nothing (that I know of) to do with the camera, but is inherent in digital dng capture. Please educate me if otherwise. (M system user, both digital and film).</p>
