jeroen_de_mol
Dear folks,
I am a filmstudent and I love photography. Due to my dedication to my studies I stopped taking pictures, and now, a couple of years later, I am starting to feel the need to pick up photography again.
I recently got my hands on a Polaroid 600 SE. I started searching Ebay and I noticed that alot of the Polaroid 690 films are out of date. My question is simple, what consequences does this have?
If I understand correctly, the 600 SE also works with :
- Fuji FP-C100
- Fuji FP-3000B
- Fuji FP-100B
- Fuji FP-400B
Sorry for the bad English. ;)
Thanks in advance!
andylynn
Out of date Polaroid is hit or miss. Or very, very miss. I tried some just to see what would happen and barely got a recognizable image.

A 600SE uses 3.25x4.25 pack film. Any of the Fuji film in that size will work. I've used the FP-C100 in a 3.25x4.25 Polaroid back with excellent results, but those others would work also. Where did you find it in 400B? I haven't seen that in stores.
john_mcferren
Yeah, I haven't heard of the 400B either, but from what I have read about out of date Polaroid film it could get real messy. Remember with Polaroid not only is the film outdated, but so are the processing chemicals.
jeroen_de_mol
Thanks for the info!
I think the FP-400B is only available in Japan, but don't quote me on that though. :)
jeroen_de_mol
I think I'll order some Fujifilm FP-100C on the photo.net store.
Thanks for the info!
brucecahn
Out of date Polaroid is usually dried out, even if refrigerated.

mark cortella
Jeroen; here are 2 links for you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant_film click on Fujifilm www.fujifilmusa.com clik on business products, and under pro photography, click film. Different types may not be available in your country go here www.fujifilm.com and look for the link for your country. then look under business proucts, which is where they put the pro film. And your English is very good. Almost forgot to tell you-when you go to fujifilm.com,click on worldwide,it's in the upper right corner, and click on your country.
