sergio_leal
I am about to buy a Camcorder (Canon HF11) and I was planning to get a Kingstone Class 4 32 Gb SDHC card with it.
I heard from the dealer that video SDHC cards are the most appropriate (although they are also Class 4 I think), but there are no 32 Gb cards (no more than 16 Gb).
Is there any real gain in "video SDHC" cards over a 32Gb Class 4 SDHC card or it it just marketing ??
Can anybody help me in this issue.
mc2imaging
I don't know about Canon, but Pany states specifically which class of card is minimal for their cameras in the user manuals. Class 4 is class 4, it is an industry standard rating. Someone may call their card a 'Video' card, but that's just a marketing scheme - a name someone has slapped on it. I have class 6 cards that I use in my Pentax K10D's, but I have also used them in Pany HD cams. Do the cards say "video"? No. Do they work great anyway? Yes.

Incidentally, I know at least one model from Panasonic is perfectly happy with a class 2 card...
