Michael R Freeman
It's a long list!

All DX Nikkors except the 10.5mm Fisheye.

All autofocus Nikkors that have "AF-S " in the designation.

All autofocus Sigma lenses that have "HSM " in the designation.

There are others. Some Tamron and Tokina lenses now feature internal lens focusing motors, but I'm not familiar with the designation used to indicate that feature.
andylynn
Any Nikon-compatible AF lens that has its own motor. AF-S and HSM, yes, but there are others that aren't particularly well labelled. I was looking for a 3rd party tele at Calumet a while back when I had a D60 and had to resort to mounting lenses on it and seeing if they AF'ed. Ended up with a Sigma that had a motor but was not HSM (it's a non-silent motor) and didn't have anything written on it to indicate that it had one.
mark_drutz
As noted Nikon lenses with motors are designated AF-S and Sigma as HSM. Sigma, Tamron, and Tokina also make lenses with motors that have no special designation. You have to check with the maker or a reliable seller. Fortuneately there are now a lot of lenses with motors and more are coming out.
Peter_in_PA
If you order from B&H, they have thoughtfully provided info on all lenses (I think), telling you when they won't AF on that camera!
