brian_ellis19
This is getting very aggravating. I'm trying to save an Action I created in CS3 so that I can load it as an Action in CS4. I know how to do this - at least I think I do - and the first step after selecting a set of Actions is to save them somewhere by selecting "Save Actions" from the Actions palette menu. However, no matter what I do in terms of selecting an Action set the "Save Actions" choice in the Actions palette menu is grayed out. Can someone tell me how to go about making it active? I thought that perhaps I wasn't correctly selecting an Action set but I've tried every combination I can think of of checking and unchecking the little boxes opposite the Action and showing or not showing the little icon(s) to the left of the Action name and/or to the left of each step in the Action, all to no avail. Is it possible I have a preference set somewhere that's causing this or that there's another "Save Actions" choice I should be using? Thanks for your help.
digitaldog
The action has to reside within a folder in the palette, then you click on that folder and invoke the Save command.
Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)
tobey_bilek
The action needs to be moved to a folder in documents so you can call it back from CS4.
