tom_choate
Does the Canon eos A2 take a 18mm or a 22mm eyecup ? I've gotten confused on -bay by different sellers of both sizes stating that each size will fit the A2. If I would to guess, it would be the 22mm?thanks- tom
peter_j2
I presume you don't have the original Canon EOS A2 brochure which may specify the eyepiece dimension. As you may know, you can buy the brochure for around $5 US from eBay. I also presume that you may have checked the A2's online owner's manual and saw that it does not have this dimension.

You can use either a ruler or better yet, a vernier caliper to measure the eyecup dimension. Unlike a 1mm difference, 4mm's you can easily see.

Or, why not just call Canon parts/service for the dimension?
richterjw
I'm not a believer in the idea that a larger cup size is always better. It really needs to be a natural fit for the body it's on. JR
mike_oflaherty
I purchased a used Canon Angle finder B for under 100$ works great on my 5DII and fits my A2E perfectly. I had to purchase a kit from Canon for the C version (the difrent size adapters) to fit the Digtial. It' a worthy investment makes tripod work a lot easier.
