john_n._wall
I have a D700 and a mint DR-4 right angle viewfinder left over from my film camera days. I know the D700 calls for a DR-5 right angle viewfinder.
Does anyone know if Nikon sells an adapter to enable the DR-4 to work on the D3/x/D700 bodies?
I can't find anything on the Nikon USA website to tell me.
User_276104
Is the DR-4 too small (as is) to thread into the D700 viewfinder? If so, a DK-18 adapter should get you going.

http://bocaphoto.com/products/new/nikon/nikonacc.htm

According to B&H's description of the DR-4, it is already equipped for use on cameras with the larger diameter viewfinder. Nikon has made a bit of a mess of designations for right angle finders. Life was much easier when there was just the DR-3 and a couple of adapters.
