jose_angel

I`d like to remind you to specify which Nikon equipment you have used on your pic. There is some feedback that some people enjoy and learn more when they know which camera, lens and/or accesories. Some even want exposure info (it can be sometimes checked at the EXIF, thought).
As suggested for better interpretation, from now on this will be the Nikon WedNEsDAy PiC.
Thank you all!!

Hi all. This is not the pic I first intended to post but after some threads about wide angle lenses I opted for this "postcard type" image... ithas been taken two weeks ago, at dusk, with 14-24AFS at 14mm wide open. Matrix exposure compesated by -1EV, 1/125sec. at 1600ISO.
I was impressed by the contrast displayed at the camera screen, I expected nothing but a dark, flat image.
Cropped just a bit at the bottom, sharpness ruined with my lack of processing skills and highly out-of-date Photoshop version.

Please feel free to post you Nikon pic if you like. You`re at the right place! Thanks all, specially to our moderator Lex for his dedication and help.

petter1
Good morning!
This week was only a snap-shot week, but nothing worth posting. So I had to go back to my archives and dig this one out, taken last year, well before the D700 came =)
Nikon F4, AF-D 50 f/1.8, Fuji Velvia 50, exposure not recorded. sjoerd_leeuwenberg
Hi,
Jose, nice postcard, where was it taken?
Simon, nice closeup, is that compression a bit high or is it me?
Bernard, perfect moment

I love this thread, so many different people, countries and cultures. A real inspiration.
This week I have a picture of a car. It's an old Morgan that belongs to a
friend of the family. He visited us in the winter when it was a bit cold, but
he had the top off the car. With one of those old pilot hats on his head.
Picture was taken with the D90, nikon 18-200mm at 60mm F4.8 converted to B/W in Lightroom.
I hope you like it.

sven keil
Hello to everybody,
First of all a question: Is it legal to post a picture taken with a Fuji S5 + Nikkor XXX/fY?
My picture is an infrared one, taken with a D60 + VR18-55mm/f3.5 at f8 with ISO400 and an exposure of 1/200 secs.
Second: Before, rather than being a technical thread (exposure, lens, etc), people used to write a short story about their pic, and this was, in my opinion, what made the Wednesday pic standing out.
When the sky has high altitude clouds, I call it an "infrared sky", because these clouds are harder to see in normal light, while coming out beautifully in IR - see the photograph. I had a meeting on the other side of Barcelona, a zone where I do not use to go a lot. Inspired by the IR-sky, I took some snapshots along.

Nice wednesday to everbody!!!

hamish_gray
On Thursday my niece had her first birthday. After chasing her around the veranda for about 5 minutes she finally stopped under the table and looked at me for a second, just long enough for me to stick the camera in her face :-)
D300 with 12-24 @ 18mm and SB900 set to TTL. 1/200s, f5.6, ISO 200.

Matthew Brennan
Wednesday again already.........the world continues to spin faster, or so it appears at times. I like to look backwards on occasion. Rene11664880918
Jose.... Your shot needs to be level.... :) Very nice!
Everyone seems to have started with really nice shots again....
Well.... I had no idea what to post. I have millions of shots but nothing really worth mentioning. I have been just trying to relax and all I have been doing is just snap shooting. Well, maybe is better to relax and worry about pictures when I get back home.
Anyway, this a shot from the balcony in my hotel room, in the top of the mountain in Funchal, Madeira. I took a few shots using normal and wide angle lenses but I really like the nice crop with my 300 mm. By the way, I felt so uneasy using my camera in the middle of the city. I can say I was a bit scare and the problem is that I keep forgetting I am not in Japan.
Have a nice WeDNeSDaY everybody. I'll keep an eye on thread as much as I can. Cheers!

andy_chubb
Hi,
most of my photos from the past couple of weeks have been studio sessions, but the weather was so nice again on Sunday that we headed out to the Peak District and walked along Stanedge Edge. Very popular with climbers - the noise of their gear clattering about. Shot on a D80 with a 24-70 zoom. Tonal Contrast adjusted in nik efex. Have a great week.

sven keil
Hello again!
Robert, very artistic still life!
I like also Shawn's & Sjoerd's one for being really "fine art", and the Velvia colors of Pedro (¡Qué colores!)
jose_angel

Sjoerd, this is a beautiful small fishing village in Asturias, north spanish coast.
Andy, I can hear that clattering gear... your climber seems to have on his right hand a very similar belaying device to what I used to use... (a green, old style, Black Diamond ATC).
Nice pics everyone.

hector_andrade
Nice work guys. Rene, hope you are taking pictures of exotic birds also. Lil's olibri picture last week was amazing. Anyway, here goes my contribution. It was taken around 2 weeks ago. Sorry but between bad weather and an exam, I have not been able to take many pictures. This is another friend trying to fish sea trout at -6ºC. Hope you enjoy

sven keil
Thanks, no one has ever accused me of that before :)
Should be understood as something positive :-), as I consider it really difficult to make a true "fine art" photo (I tried that unsuccessfully many times...)
Jose Angel: Fuji S5 + Nikkor is legal for WeDnEsDaY pic?
