aaron_koolen
Hi guys. I currently have a Canon 430exII and I'm after a secondary flash at a cheap price for off camera flash. I don't need TTL etc, so I'm looking at Nikon models like the SB-27 or SB28 but I'm concerneed about whether the colour temperatures will match. Anyone have experience in mixing brands of flashes and how to solve colour issues if they arise?
I've tried to find into on what temp the SB27/28's are but I can't find it. I think my 430EXII is 5200K.

Cheers
Aaron
ellis_vener_photography
You'll have to test but my guess is that the differences will be very slight.
leicaglow
I agree; I don't think you'll be able to tell the difference when mixing these high end flashes.
tony_palmieri4
You shouldn't have to worry about the color temp differences if you custom white balance. If you don't know about www.shootsmarter.com give it a look. They sell a collapsable custom white balance item that will make it easy to do. Just read your camera manual and give it a shot. You'll alleviate a ton of headaches. Good luck.
