nathan_cenower
Does anyone have experience using a Gorillapod Focus tripod with a medium format (Mamiya 645afd) camera?
ulrik
There are three different Gorillapods, the largest rated up to 3 kg. I do not have one but would not expect too much stability as it has so many joints (30 or more). If you are looking for a Minitripod that is really up to the task of holding a medium format SLR stable, look at the wooden Berlebach mini-tripod.
Ulrik
robert_marvin
But it's NOT intended to be used as a tripod. The idea is to wrap the jointed arms around a support, like a tree or post. That being said, I've yet to actually use the Gorillapod I bought at the '07 PhotoExpo.
