sreegraphy
Dear all,
I got a chance to photograph a concert thru my friend who was part of the concert group. One of the News agency wants to use those pics for news publication. From photographer perspective I do not have any objection but what should I do at the model end ( I mean whoever appear in the pic). Do I've to take written consent from them to release those pics. Pl help me with your response and Thanx in advance for your time.
mikael_karlsson
If you're in the US there is no need for model releases - or property releases for that matter - for what is called editorial use, meaning use in newspapers, magazines, insides of books etc. Commercial usage, when the photos are used to sell or promote a service or product, is a very different beast.
