Steichen Show at the NY International Center for Photography

<p>I went to the member's preview last night. ICP is highlighting fashion photograqphy all year, this being the first set of exhibits. The thing I found particularly interesting was the contrast of Steichen's fashion photography, displayed in this show, with his fine art work that I've seen elsewhere. He was a pictorialist in his art work which was the style at the time but went out of favor with Steiglitz, Weston and Adams, etc. and group f/64. These images were sharply focused and printed well. I really enjoyed seeing the roots of fashion photography with the modern work displayed upstairs. Well worth a visit.</p>

<p>This may be a dumb question but does it cost anything i wonder? i never been to ICP</p>
