robert_reiss
Are there any differences when using filters (yellow, orange, etc.) for black and white film when the film is a C-41 type stock? I am thinking of the moment of using some T400CN with a yellow filter. Does one expect similar results with the filter to that which would be expected with a traditional black and white film such as Tri-X?
henryp
You can expect similar results on the negative. If you're not doing your own printing, print results may vary.
Henry Posner
B&H Photo-Video
Henry Posner B&H Photo-Video
randrew1
The spectral sensitivities of B&W films are not all identical leading to some minor differences in filter response. The differences aren't that big so for practical purposes, use the filters exactly the way you would use them with other B&W films and you will get very similar results.
