andrew_viny
Hey guys as I'm considering the purchase of a Billingham Hadley Pro I would like to know if purchasing from Rob White is a good idea or not. As I am from the states would purchasing from a british dealer void my warranty? at the current exchange rate (1.49 usd to 1 gbp) the bag comes out about $100 less from rob than from us vendors. Should I be concerned about an international purchase like this for shipping and service reasons? Are there any concerns I have over looked?

~Andrew
SolaresLarrave
Why not ask the vendor instead about the reach of the warranty? That's what I'd do.
jack_palmer
What could go wrong with a camera bag? Billinghams are so well made that unless you plan on dragging it behind your car you have little to worry about. I bought a Billingham from Robert White, they are great to deal with.
HarryBaker
I agree. There is little to go wrong with a bag. Robert White is a great dealer. Always helpful. Ask them.
fred_obturateur
Isn't it a little passé to order something from the other end of the world to save a few bucks when global warming is right at our door? Isn't it about time we think LOCAL...?

If you can't afford at full local retail price it then why buy it?
jack_palmer
Fred, you may be right but it's human nature to look for the best price and Robert White is a really nice company to deal with.... then so again is B&H.

andrew_viny
Well Fred I wouldn't call $70 "a few bucks". Will that I can but 100 ft. of TMax and about 20 new cassettes to put it in.
runkel
Robert White is a great dealer. Keep in mind that there is a possibility that you could be charged an import duty on your purchase. What seems passe to me is throwing money away. By extension of Fred's reasoning, if you can't afford to buy something new, then why buy it used? I also doubt that the bags in Andrew's local shop magically appeared there in some carbon-neutral way.
