penn10
What's your copyright policy to allow your clients to post the images online in a blog/myspace/facebook website? This could be wedding pictures or a portrait session.
Thanks!
sam_ellis
I require that photo credit be given to me and include my address. This could be as simple as including it in the gallery title or as a comment. HOWEVER, for 2009, I will be including web-sized files with my logo on them somehow, maybe a black border with the logo and website in the border.
For weddings, I include a dvd of all images with the higher level package. In my opinion, if the couple shares them, that's just more advertising for me. In fact, if the couple has a fb account I add them as friends. Then after the wedding, I add some photos to my gallery and tag them so they appear on their page. This has worked well for group photos too, then people in the photo tag themselves as well and MORE people see my photos.
You have to use the web's viral marketing to your advantage.
Sam
betty_lowrey
My clients all get a negative release form that allows them to post the pictures wherever they wish. I don't even need to tell them to credit me, they seem to do this automatically. I have gotten a TON of work from it.
